Today we're at Shinkanzen Sushi, the Kasetsart University branch. It's a sushi place with super, super cheap prices, starting at just 11 baht a piece. It's been open for a while now, and it's packed with Kasetsart students, so much so that it's become one of the most popular spots around. The prices are easy on the wallet and the food tastes good too. You could say you leave full and your wallet stays happy toooo!
Let's go see what's good to eat!

Let's start with the first dish, the "mixed sashimi set" (175 baht). The set has salmon, which is incredibly soft, it literally melts in your mouth. The tuna tastes good too, so smooth on the tongue. And last of all there's crab stick, slightly sweet, the kind of thing you just keep munching on.

Next up is the "grilled pork rice bowl" (89 baht), Japanese rice cooked and served piping hot. The rice here has a sweetish flavour, topped with grilled pork that tastes a lot like smoked bacon. It comes with thinly sliced pickled ginger, sour with a hint of sweet, which does a great job of cutting through the richness.

The next dish is for the health lovers: the "salmon salad" (65 baht). Crisp salad greens topped with big chunks of salmon and a crab stick salad cream that's sweet and rich. Delicious! They go together so well. It's served with Japanese roasted sesame dressing. Bliss~

If you come all the way to a sushi place, you have to eat sushi! The next dish I want to show you is the "Dragon Roll": Japanese rice rolled in seaweed and topped with unagi grilled in a fragrant sauce, sweet and salty, just the best! There are also plenty of other toppings to choose from to your heart's content, like grilled salmon with mayonnaise, grilled salmon with cream cheese, surf clam, squid (ika), and there's even foie gras. As for snacks worth trying, there's spicy salmon salad, salmon larb, spicy seaweed salad, and the takoyaki looks so tempting too~
The restaurant has loads of dishes to choose from: sushi, sashimi, all kinds of rice bowls, snacks, salads, and there are desserts too.

📌 Location: opposite Ngamwongwan Gate 1 of Kasetsart University, close to Home Village. Hurry over and eat! The restaurant is open every day from 11:00 to 22:30.
