Girls, if you're looking for a café that's perfect for a laid-back day, today I've got just the one for you: Bar Storia del Cafe, a retro-vintage café that feels a lot like an old-fashioned European café. The dark green building gives it a relaxed vibe, and inside it's furnished in brown tones set against white walls for a subtly classic feel. There are even shelves on the walls displaying a collection of vintage pieces. But the one thing that really catches your eye as you walk in is the brown wooden bar counter with its beautiful carved fretwork, topped with a huge slab of soft white marble that feels oh so vintage.

Inside there are tables of all sizes to suit however many friends you bring along, whether it's a table for two for couples or a table for a big group of friends. And if you fancy a change of scene, there are tables outside too, where you can sit and gaze at the trees and greenery to your heart's content.

The food here is All-Day Dining style, which means you can order breakfast or a main course any time of day. So what's worth trying? Follow me and let's take a look!

Let's start with the Salad Salmon, and I have to tell you, the salmon is really fresh. The sauce, the vegetables and the fish all go together perfectly. On top of the good fats from the salmon, there's avocado too, and let me tell you, the avocado is seriously good: soft, smooth and just right.
Next up I recommend the Egg Benedict, one of the breakfast dishes I'd suggest. The poached egg is done really well, topped with tomato sauce and served with spinach and buttery sautéed mushrooms, plus fried potatoes to make it even tastier. Everything just comes together perfectly!
And the last savoury dish I'd recommend is the Baked Maccaroni Creamy Cheese Sauce Ham: macaroni baked in a creamy cheese sauce and topped with ham. Fans of stretchy, gooey cheese, you have to try it! It's beautifully well-rounded in flavour, with a gentle buttery aroma. A real feel-good dish.

The last dish is a sweet one that's just perfect with an afternoon cup of tea, and it's the Scone! It isn't too sweet, and having it with cottage cheese or strawberry jam gives you more variety of flavour. The texture isn't quite bread and isn't quite a biscuit either: it's half crisp, half soft and crumbly, and it smells wonderfully buttery. Love it!

If you fancy a change of scene and want to chill out, read a book, go online or try something new, I recommend this place. It's a café right in the city, easy and convenient to get to, and close to the BTS too! Come and give it a try. I'm sure you'll love it as much as I do!
Location : Soi Ari 4 (North), Phaya Thai, Bangkok
How to go : If you're driving, there's parking at the café, which is super convenient. Or if you'd rather avoid the traffic, take the BTS to Ari station and walk about 10 minutes, or hop on a motorbike taxi, which is easy too.
